Relationships and Self Love

Here's some of my late night thoughts as I review my day and different sized hurdles. everyone needs and deserves Healthy, Loving mutual relationships but not everyone shares the same understanding of what love really is, where it begins or what it requires. Not everyone is in the same places in life... no matter how much we love, wish, miss or want.
Here's what I have learned if nothing else...
One Healthy relationship between two people begins with two very basic essentials.

Self love.

You gottttta love yourself. loving yourself means you respect yourself. you know your worth, even with all your humanly imperfections. You know your value simply as a human being with a divine purpose.
Why is loving yourself so important...? Why should you love yourself when we are supposed to be loving others? Because the truth is you can not give what you do not have. If you're not loving yourself you are not only cheating yourself... but whom ever truly loves you. You are limiting and blocking loves energy flow in all relationships. Relationships that might be healthy if given the chance.

Loving yourself is respecting, valuing and claiming your worth with dignity. If you're not feeling worthy of your own self love you are immediately lowering the bar. If you don't treat yourself with loving respect by taking care of your mind, body, heart and spirit then you are setting an example for others; the expectations and allowances in how they treat you.

We are only capable of loving others with the same amount of self love we have. We often mistake our co-dependency, insecurity and fears for love. We tag the ones who love us with these and often are tagged right back, depending on the others own heart health. This would be A cycle where 'crazy love' manifests. Abuse.

If we do not love ourselves we settle for less than our birth entitlement and Godly worth. We habitually, unintentionally welcome and attract the people who value themselves with similar self worth. We attract painful situations and circumstances to us. We (often with the other peoples 'help', such as abusers...) then create more reasons for us to devalue ourselves because we feel like 'failures' and keep convincing ourselves we are bad and just have terrible karma. We convince ourselves with our own self talk, and let others falsely confirm, we are deserving of this 'hell' we call life.
The true reality is...this is sadly the furthest thing from the truth. This life is full of choices and doesn't have to be hell on earth. You have the choice to finally claim the life you deserve to have. The choice and power begins with you.

Face yourself...
Face all those things you do not like or 'approve' of in yourself. You are the ONLY one who has an opinion about yourself that really matters. YOU are the captain of your ship and are here to sail to the destiny of your choice. Someone else's opinion  can hurt but realize that your ship may take you to someplace they might only dream about. You are an individual born to sail, not be ship wrecked.
Self acceptance is a part of self loves. It is time to recognize and embrace yourself as the being you were created to be. ALL of it. If you don't like something that could improve your self image... change it. If you can't change it....Accept it!
Nobody will accept you completely for who and what you are until you do.
EVERYBODY'S got imperfections! No one is perfect! We are ALL full of ego, character defects and trial and errors! Period. everyone is equally the same but with different strengths and weaknesses. Some strengths and talents are never discovered because we didn't dig deep enough.

everyone has painful 'skeletons' in the closet from the past! Skeletons a person is in denial of (or afraid of), OR presently coming to terms with OR have already faced. EVERYBODY!  Maybe some skeletons are uglier, more frightening than others.
These skeletons are merely challenges for us to over come. We have already lived them.... we just haven't over come them and let them go.  they are Emotional and mental learning lessons to process through to reach a higher point in this life experience. If they are keeping you from loving yourself and experiencing the purity and goodness of healthy, enlightening, beautiful love ~  the REAL glory of life~ then these experiences are heavy baggage(s) that need to be identified, sorted through, decided upon (worthy of keeping...?)and discarded. It is only when we make room in our minds and hearts that we have availability for goodness .
your heart doesn't want the 'skeletons' consuming it's loving space, it wants you to forgive yourself and others so it can do what it was created to do...Love and experience in full expansion.

As you go through the luggage of the past, the aches and pains... really play around in the thoughts of forgiveness and freedom. Imagine yourself free of those skeletons and baggage that have held you back from experiencing goodness. Imagine yourself free and the possibilities in that freedom. forgiveness is releasing the pain... Forgiveness is freedom.
Easier said than done , yes. Worth the freedom...? absolutely!

so how does one start loving themself ...? One day at a time. Start affirming to yourself daily that you DO deserve to love yourself, feel and experience loving relationships and a fulfilling life. Start letting yourself dream and latch a hope on to those dreams. start talking, listening, observing people who have been where you are at and paved their own way out. Learn from them! Be willing to expand your mind. When you expand your mind so does the heart expand.

Let go of the people, situations and environments that don't respect the transitioning you need to do for yourself. Let go of the ones who don't respect the complete, whole, beautiful person you were created to embrace. that is their own judgments and insecurities they need to deal within themselves. You Don't own theirs! you are not responsible for their changes and transitions they too need to make, in THEIR own time. You deserve this time to focus and reclaim YOU. It is not selfish ... it is an opportunity you were born to take!

As Ive said before...In the heart is the bridge to the soul. There you will find beauty, purity, light and an unconditional love that feels just like home. ;)

Hope and love to all... ♥
